Ken Mathias started Orchard Knoll K9 Company in 1983 to provide top-quality police dogs to law enforcement agencies nationwide. Orchard Knoll K9 has provided over 4000 dogs to nearly 500 law enforcement agencies. Having 42 years of experience as a sworn law enforcement officer, he has trained handlers in all disciplines of police dogs including explosives detection, narcotic detection, dual-purpose patrol. Ken flys to Europe and handpicks each dog that he sells & trains. The dog breeds include German Shepherds, Malinois, Dutch Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers, & English Springer Spaniels. Each dog is examined by a licensed veterinarian, X-rayed, and given necessary inoculations before being shipped to the United States to ensure the health.
